1. Yellowstone National Park |
| Yellowstone is filled with geothermal geysers, hot springs, steam vents, and mud-pots. Elevations in the park range from 5,000 to 11,000 feet. The temperature in the Park can range from 90 degrees F, in the summer to -45 degrees below zero in the winter. Yellowstone has an estimated at over 10,000 thermal features including geysers, hot springs and fumaroles (cracks in the ground which allow gases to reach the surface through small openings also called solfataras). Only three percent are geysers. Most of the geysers are small bubbling pools that may occasionally splash and make some noise. There are only 100 geysers that erupt 100 feet or higher on a daily basis. The most famous geyser is Old Faithful which erupts approximately every 65 minutes. |
2. Buffalo Bill Historical Center |
| The Buffalo Bill Historical Center is widely regarded as America's finest Western museum. The BBHC features five internationally acclaimed museums and a research library. 3. Cody Nite Rodeo |
| Every night, June 1st to August 31st, you can see America's original sport - RODEO - in Cody, Wyoming. With over 55 years of performances, the Cody Nite Rodeo has earned Cody the title Rodeo Capital of the World. It's good family entertainment, and you get a look at the lifestyle of Old West Cowboys and Cowgirls. Cody Stampede Rodeo – July 1, 2, 3 & 4 The Cody Stampede Rodeo is the best large outdoor rodeo in the nation according to the PRCA. The Stampede Parade is one of the largest in the Rocky Mountain West with 130 plus floats and marching bands from across the country. 4. Irma Hotel |
| Irma Hotel - Buffalo Bill's Hotel in the Rockies named for the infamous Buffalo Bill Cody's daughter, Irma. Historic hotel in the Rocky Mountains in Cody, Wyoming. 5. Old Trail Town |
| Old Trail Town has the largest collection of historical buildings in Wyoming. Bob Edgar realized that many of the old buildings across the state were disappearing and he began the project in order to preserve them. Old Trail Town is open to the public from mid May to mid September and is located on the west edge of Cody. |
6. Heart Mountain Relocation Camp |
| One of the ten sites chosen for a Japanese relocation camp during 1942 was unused federal property located between Cody and Powell in Northwest Wyoming. Named for the only notable topographical feature, a nearby 8,113 foot mountain, Heart Mountain Relocation Center contained over 4,600 acres in Park County. From 1942 through 1945, 14,000 Japanese-Americans passed through the Heart Mountain Relocation Center. At its peak population of over 11,000, Heart Mountain was the state's third largest community. |
7. Buffalo Bill State Park |
Mountains dominate the scenery at Buffalo Bill State Park. Shoshone Canyon, the location of the dam, is framed by Rattlesnake Mountain to the north and Cedar Mountain (also known as Spirit Mountain) to the south. Further west, along the north shoreline, lies Logan Mountain. The north and south forks of the Shoshone River are divided by Sheep Mountain while prominent on the southern skyline is Carter Mountain. 8. Harry Jackson Art Museum and Gallery |

9. Tecumseh's Old West Miniature Village & Museum |

10. Cody Murals Visitors Center |
The magnificent Cody Mural covers a domed ceiling 36 ft. in diameter and 18 ft. high, depicting historical scenes from the first 70 years of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A beautiful exhibit tells the story of the colonization of Wyoming’s Big Horn Basin. No admission charge. |
