WHITE WATER RAFTING

Shoshone River (North Fork, South Fork & Lower Shoshone) This stretch of the river was once described by Teddy Roosevelt as fifty miles of the most scenic land in America. The fisheries on this river are greatly enhanced by spawning runs of rainbow trout and Yellowstone cutthrout out of Buffalo Bill Reservoir. This river is managed as a wild fishery with all reproduction occuring naturally.

Clarks Fork of Yellowstone River Named after William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, the Clarks Fork flows through a deep, postcard-scenic canyon. It's tumultuous waterfalls, white water cascades, deep pools and rugged corridor lands are it's unique characteristics.

ICE CLIMBING

The Valley hosts the highest concentration of ice in the lower 48 states. The season begins as early as October and can run into the long sunny days of April. Cody attracts a small group of climbers each year. There is only a handful of locals that make up the ice climbing community, and they tell tales of WI3 feeling like WI5. The early and late season climbs will not be found in a guidebook. Checking with the locals is a must!

KAYKING

Cody has some of the best Kayking in the U.S., yet it still remains a secret to most boaters. Playboating, creek boating, you name it, it's here!

Here are a few rivers in the area Iwill try and make this a little more organized as I have more time.
