EVENT – Community Concert Series: Swan Lake – Eugene Ballet Company

DETAILS –Currently in its 27th year of operation, Eugene Ballet Company has grown into one of the most sought–after dance companies in the Western U.S. This year, the 21–member ensemble is pleased to present a full-length production of Swan Lake. Under the artistic direction of Toni Pimble, this dramatic production carries on the Eugene Ballet Company's commitment to absolute excellence.

DETAILS – Indian dancing and drum competition, food, and crafts from Indians of the region at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Admission is $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for youth 7–17 and free for 6 and under. The PowWow is held in the Joe Robbie Garden on the Buffalo Bill Historical Center Grounds.

This family event is a colorful dance contest among Plains Indian tribe members. Tickets are available at the gate.

EVENT – 14th Annual Wild West Balloon Fest

TIME – 30 minutes before dusk

DETAILS – Balloon pilots fire up their propane tanks and inflate their hot air balloons, keeping the balloons tied to the ground. This colorful event delights young and old. Kids love it! Bring your camera.

Always looking for volunteers to help crew for the balloons. This is a fun, social exercise and the balloon pilots really appreciate the help. Call Jack Way or show up at Mentock Park about 30 minutes before dusk.
